Free Multimedia Yearbooks

Use our free yearbooks for this year’s school leavers as a ‘last minute yearbook’ or as an ICT digital diary (‘Digidiary’) project for pupils from key stage two upwards.

Why free?

We are issuing free yearbooks because we passionately believe that pupils and students should have access to affordable, good quality multimedia yearbooks. We want pupils & students to try our yearbook system so they can experience how enjoyable it is to create a multimedia yearbook and how easy it is to manage. We also want pupils, students & teachers to tell us if they found our yearbook easy to use and if they found the experience rewarding.

How do I apply for free yearbooks?

Simply go to our Register a New Yearbook page, apply for a new yearbook and complete your registration details. You can start as many yearbooks as your school/college requires, but we would appreciate your co-operation in not starting yearbooks you do not intend to complete. We prefer someone in authority at your school/college to apply, preferably a teacher. Applicants must be aged eighteen or over – see Terms of use agreement.

To register for a new yearbook:

1. In the Yearbook Options box, type in how many year group members you want – don’t worry about being too accurate as there is a facility to add more members after receiving your free yearbook.
2. In the Space per Member options box, leave this as 5mb – as the yearbook is for free, this is the maximum amount we are allowing per pupil/student and it is plenty of space for a typical yearbook.
3. In the Service Options box, select Single CD for copying – as the yearbook is for free, you will receive a single printed CD Yearbook that your school/college can copy as many times as they like for your pupils/students.
4. In the Payment Method box, select Free Sample Yearbook.
5. Complete all sections and select the Next button.
6. From the next page select Confirm
7. Ignore the details on the Payment Option page and the Awaiting Payment page as they are simply there to show you how much your yearbook would have cost if it had not been a free sample.
8. Log in to Yearbooks4Computers with the Username & Password you entered when registering - your free yearbook will now be ready for you to use.

Selecting options other than 5mb & Single CD will invalidate the free yearbook offer

How long can we keep our free yearbooks open for?

Until the end of this year – all free yearbooks must be completed by the end of December 2008.

How many free yearbooks can my school/college apply for?

As many as you like – as this exercise is helping us to gauge how successful our yearbook system is, you may start as many yearbooks as you like. We appreciate your co-operation in not starting yearbooks you do not intend to complete.
