PERSHORE Under-14s won the District Cup final on Tuesday night when they overcame Malvern Chase at Nunnery Wood.
Lewis Critcher was the hero with the only goal of the game ten minutes before half-time.
Pershore goalkeeper Dave Clifton showed safe hands in the second half when the Malvern side sought an equaliser that saw gaps appear n their defence but Sam Hicks and George Lavis both wasted good chances to seal Perhore High School nerves.
Lewis it was who notched the only goal of last week's semi-final victory over Christopher Whitehead with a great strike from 25 yards after a fine pass from Dane Aldington.
Player of the match Jonathan Stickler caught the eye with a commanding display at centre half, while the Critcher twins, Lewis and Darren, were also in fine form to repel what proved to be tough opponents.
