Drakes Broughton win the Cup

Drakes Broughton Rangers Vs Westbury Boys - May bank holiday 2005.

Pershore High School's adopted village side, Drakes Broughton Rangers, dominated the game throughout, showing the Westbury opposition class football. Jon Bird commanded the defence and snuffed out any potential Westbury attacks. Critcher, holding centre midfield, alllowed the free roaming Aldington to create and dictate play.

Drakes Broughton's first goal came from a corner when Critcher headed against the post leaving Hicks with an easy tap in. Drakes Broughton's second came just before half time when Alexander slotted a pass through to Watts who smashed the ball in from 18 yards out. Westbury piled pressure on after half time but Drakes Broughton counter attacked through winger Alexander who passed low to Hicks who turned and finished well for his second goal of the game.

Drakes Broughton controlled the game from then on, with the last goal coming from Critcher who turned in an Alexander corner in the last 10 minutes of the game.
